Climbing Caterpillar!
Ali Noble is raising money for Bassetlaw Play Forum and Resource Centre by taking part in a climbing challenge - "Don’t Look Down: The Big Dam Climb"

Play Ambassadors and Play Forum Committee members Ali (Caterpillar Music) and Paul are about to embark on the most dangerous challenge yet to be faced by the Play Forum in our fight for survival!

They are attempting to climb one of the world’s highest man-made climbing walls, the Diga di Luzzone in Switzerland on 20th June 2015!

The dam is a concrete wall of vertical thrills towering almost 600 ft above the ground.

That’s taller than Big Ben, taller than Tower Bridge, taller than Blackpool Tower, taller than the Humber Bridge, and the same height as the mighty OXO Tower! You can see a video of it here: The World’s Largest Artificial Climbing Wall Diga di Luzzone (Drone / Luftaufnahmen) from Riot Media on Vimeo.

Ali only started climbing in July 2013 and she is terrified but thankfully Paul is an experienced climber.

Follow their journey on the Play Forum Facebook page and check their website for updates.

Please show your support and help them to hit their target, they urgently need to raise £3,000. Donations can also be made online, please encourage your friends to visit their JustGivey page.

Any class, school, group, organisation or even an individual who pledges sponsorship will be in the running to win £250 of Art and Craft supplies from our Resource Centre and free membership for a year.

If the thought of climbing excites you, why not give it a try at the Bassetlaw free play event at Kings Park, Retford on the 12th August, 1 – 4 p.m.
