Nursery Schools and Children's Centres

We have provided regular weekly sessions for nurseries, children’s centres and schools, in addition to sessions provided for the Government funded Sure Start projects since 2003.

Caterpillar Music can provide educational sessions linked to the Early Years curriculum through a unique musical journey, in both a progressive and creative way.

We adapt our sessions offered in Early Years settings, to suit many different ages and abilities and our fantastic new programmes are inclusive, fun and interesting.

By using visual impact, pictures, words and sounds, movement, timing, co-ordination and rhythm we deliver sessions with enthusiasm and originality.

What Your Colleagues Say About Us

The music and fun that Alison brings to the setting is OUTSTANDING! All of the children enjoy the sessions, as do the staff. I have recommended Caterpillar Music to the 3 other settings in the Granby chain.

Manager, Granby House Nursery

The Caterpillar Music Sessions have been greatly received at Windmill Children's Centre by the parents and children alike! As soon as parents come out of a session they book straight into the next one! The sessions encourage good interaction between the parents and their children and are good for socialising.

Manager, Windmill Children's Centre

With the launch of the new EYFS we have not had to wait for Caterpillar Music to incorporate this into sessions. Caterpillar Music has even supplied us with evidence on how the classes promote the new ethos and this has been cascaded down to staff so they can see the outcomes so they can use observations from the sessions to inform their development files and planning.

Jo Bullivant, Manager, Treetops Nursery

Very effective teaching was seen in the approach of a visiting music specialist, where work with younger pupils was lively, interesting and creative, with strong cross-curricular links which captured their imaginations.

Ofsted Inspector, June 2010
