Introduction:

girlseadrumLike all Caterpillar Music classes, my sessions here in East Kent are a lively combination of traditional and new songs and rhymes that the children and parents love, all bought to life with a changing weekly theme and some amazing puppets.  The emphasis at my classes is on having fun but an awful lot of learning takes place too.   It is lovely seeing a child's confidence growing week by week.  It is well known, and experts agree, that language development can be reinforced through singing.  By attending my weekly Caterpillar Music sessions children also learn to share and take turns with favourite percussion instruments.  I encourage the babies and toddlers/pre-schoolers to bring along a favourite toy or book which relates to the class theme and parents tell me that they have fun together deciding what to bring along.  Although the songs we sing vary, each session takes the same format so that little ones know what to expect and feel secure.

Caterpillar Music in Chartham

As a local mum myself, I decided to start my very first Caterpillar Music class right on my doorstep, in Chartham.  It has proven to be an ideal location with mums, dads, grandparents and childminders/nannies who come not only from the village itself but also from Canterbury, Ashford, Hythe, and all the places inbetween!  Many of these customers have been coming along to the sessions here for over a year.

The Village Hall in Chartham is a great venue and the classes here have a really friendly feel.  Newcomers are made to feel very welcome by everyone.  The room is light but cosy.  As the building is brand new there is excellent disabled access, and baby change facilities.  Additionally there is ample free parking on site and a brand new swing park on the adjacent field where parents often congregate for a chat after the class.

Classes in Chartham are very often full to capacity so please contact me as soon as you are interested so that we can fit you in for a FREE trial session as soon as possible!

Caterpillar Music in Whitstable

Whitstable is a lovely coastal town and a great place to bring up children.  With so many little ones living in and around the area it is a lovely place in which to do Caterpillar Music.

The All Saints Church Hall is a great venue with high ceilings and huge windows.  It is a lovely space and the acoustics are good (you'll sing with the same confidence you have in the shower!!).  Perhaps more importantly, it is one of the only venues in Whitstable with free parking, which helps keep the cost down for parents attending my sessions here.  It is ideally located just off of the Old Thanet Way so access from all directions is easy.   The hall is soon to be fitted with a state of the art sound system which will make the sessions here even better.

I currently hold one session in Whitstable, llike in Chartham, the group is really friendly and welcoming with parents, childminders, and grandparents attending from Canterbury, Herne Bay, and Ramsgate as well as Whitstable itself.  Contact me for a FREE trial session in Whitstable now!

Parties

Parties:

bubblesAs well as my weekly classes in Chartham and Whitstable I also provide party entertainment for children aged 0-4yrs (though older siblings and friends often surprise themselves by having a great time, too!).  Each party session lasts an hour and is a fun mix of singing, action and movement, and party games.  Regular customers often request their child's favourite songs be included but I have also created sessions specifically to tie in with an overall party theme in the past.

If you are not familiar with Caterpillar Music but are interested in having entertainment at your child's party then I am very happy for you to come along to one of my weekly classes for a taster, by prior arrangement.  Please do not hesitate to get in touch to ask any questions and to check availability on your preferred date/s.
