How do babies and children benefit from these classes?

Experts agree that music enhances learning and helps babies and adults communicate. Nursery rhymes and songs help develop vocabulary, playing musical instruments fosters dexterity and interaction with other children develops social skills, confidence and fun. In each weekly class, parents or carers actively join in - and for good reason. It has been shown that children benefit from activities in which their parents or carers interact with them.

This will be our first experience of a Caterpillar Music class- what should we expect?

Caterpillar Music sessions provide an introduction to music in a fun atmosphere. The classes are very relaxed and you can choose to join in as much as you want to. Children can learn and develop at their own pace- some may enjoy watching others before they are ready to join in.

Each session is full of lively songs and music- some NEW songs and others more traditional. You will become familiar with our favourite songs after just a few classes, but with different weekly themes and puppets our classes are always full of fun and surprises!

I have a toddler and a baby- which class should I choose?

The Caterpillar class for 0 to 3yrs is normally the best choice, as you can take both children together, however your local class co-ordinator will advise you according to the ages of the other children within the classes at that time.

Who enjoys Caterpillar Music?

Well, babies and toddlers of course! But let's not forget mums, dads, grandparents, childminders, nannies. Everyone is welcome at Caterpillar Music.

We really enjoyed the free trial class, how do we book a class place?

At the end of your trial class, please speak to your class leader to book a place for that class or telephone us as soon as possible as classes do become full very quickly.

When you pay for 10 consecutive classes, this payment reserves your class place for the following week.
